Bridegroom Speech- Mark told us, “Thanks a million Tracey, the speech was great, and you eased my anxieties.  I honestly don’t know how you done it. Without your help and guidance I would’ve been totally lost, as I didn’t even know where to start. You got me to the point where I wasn’t even nervous about saying the speech.  Everybody commented on the speech saying how good it was, it had everything in it. Lots of laughter even a tear or two.  Thanks again Tracey you were great.

Being a man of few words I am not going to say many except those that I mean with all my heart….. I was told it is up to the Best Man to be the funny one so Garry I am leaving it up to you.

To give you all a taste of Garry’s humor he told me that he was once locked outside his house…… looking through the letterbox he saw his cat in the hallway and asked him to open the front door to which the cat responded Me Ow!!!

I knew Garry would be a great best man as behind every great man there is a great woman and there is….Lorraine his wife and my sister. Thanks Garry for being a great brother in law and a really good friend.

Next Kirsty and I would like to thank you all for joining us today to celebrate the beginning of our life together….. and for all your kind words and gifts.

I would like to thank some special people without which this day would never have been…..Alison and Steve for having such a lovely daughter and for giving me the privilege of loving and marrying her.

I know that Kirsty would agree with me when I say that Alison and Steve are great parents…..they are a couple that make everyone feel welcome and at ease and from them Kirsty has inherited their genuine warmth.

Kirsty is not the only one who got lucky in the parents department and next I would like to thank my parents, mum Brenda and dad Bill…. for all their love and support and to let them know how much I love them and all my family who have been there for me without fail.

A very important person to me is my son Mark…. at ten he likes all the things I like, gadgets, computer games and motorbikes and I know like me he adores Kirsty…..thanks Mark for being a wonderful son.

And now to my lovely bride Kirsty. Kirsty, the first time I saw you, you said, ‘Hello Honey do you want a cup of tea’ and I thought how pretty and bubbly you were and said ‘Yes’…. I thought you must like me…. calling me Honey….. now I know you call everyone Honey and while I was thinking you fancied me…I looked thirsty.

That was the best mistake I ever made, from our first date we clicked straight away and unusually for me….. we chatted and chatted….. I am not quite up to your standard of chattiness you can even do it when sleeping and the best I can manage is to snore back at you.

Kirsty and I have different passions…. even on a sunny day Kirsty likes to spend all day in her pyjama’s while I like to get out on my bike….. but we do have one common interest and that is laughing at people who hurt themselves.

Kirsty loves ‘You’ve been framed and I laugh at ‘Jack Ass’ as we are both paramedics this could seem quite worrying….. I prefer to think we like the reassurance of knowing we will never be out of work.

Today we are sharing our dream to be married and as husband and wife we hope we will share many more…. we both want to travel and see the world….. but for now for me all my dreams have come true in marrying this bubbly, friendly, beautiful woman, Kirsty my bride.

Kirsty thank you for making me the luckiest man alive.

Finally my wife and I….would like to thank the bridesmaids and flower girl for all they have done today….. looking at them we can see that beauty runs in the family on both sides so please join us and raise your glasses.

Ladies and Gentlemen to Mandy, Wendy and Stephanie.
