PostHeaderIcon Celebration Poem

Dad Mike said – We all loved it even the soldier gets teary eyed when he reads it!

You Passed Out

You Passed Out

This time not drunk as a skunk

You Passed Out

The Ceremony was grand

My son at this parade you became my heir

I became part of the elite

You Passed Out

The bugle gave me shivers

Your mum did not cry

Her shoulders showed her pride

This time not drunk as a skunk

The uniforms were immaculate

Soldiers marching as one army

Among them you son

You passed Out

The rifles there movements swift

We watched in awe

Our protectors with Arms

This time not drunk as a skunk

The salute broke the dam

Your mum and I cried

You are a man now not a boy

You Passed Out

Soldiers

Men not boys

Women not girls

This time not drunk as a skunk

I want to Shout

I want everyone to know

For country and queen

You Passed Out

And you said

I did it for you and mum, thanks dad

You shook my hand

Man to Man
